Matthew Cornell I love the experiment, and your attitude. Your program is great, free, and helpful. Plus, what a great and timely reminder. I'd like to hear your thoughts on using it fir a gift list. Not your niche, right?

Looking forward to the results!

Lizzy Thanks Matt. For sure people use it for gift lists. And interestingly people also use as a party invitation tool, which i find curious because there are so many other there link pingg and evite. Maybe people just like the simplicity of it?

Lizzy And...on a side note, we had almost 400 unique visitors yesterday and 1000 page views. 9 new account holders. The traffic is steadily building.

Matthew Cornell That's awesome, Liza. You're working hard for that traffic, and you guys deserve it.

Brock Tice Liza, that's awesome! Is it a result of the eblast or separate?

Lizzy [Liza wrote] Brock, thanks! Good question, I think some of the traffic increase is related but need to track how much. In the course of two days since sending the blast we had 15 new account holders so that might also indicate people mentioned the site to others.

Lizzy Stats on our eblast. 33% open rate (which seems pretty good). Click rate 4.2%. 70 people opened the eblast, and it was opened a total of 114 times (so opened more than once, pretty cool). Only 4 unsubscribes (out of 212) also pretty good. One account holder from the early days came back so that is cool, we reminded someone they have an account. Now we really should do some A/B testing of messages. And also compare the eblast to others in the future including different subject lines.

Matthew Cornell A success! I'm curious: Did you withhold some of the contacts on your list for the A/B work? If not, I'd love to know how you plan to do it. Great stuff, Liza. It seems that marketing and sales /require/ an experimental attitude. That means we need to structure our implementations to support the enabling characteristics we've talked about - agile, etc.

Lizzy Summary: 212 Successful deliveries, 71 people opened (33.5% open rate -- pretty good! Industry average 17.6%) 10 clicks (4.7% -- also pretty good! Industry average 4.1%). 4 unsubscribes (seems reasonable). Overall I would say the clicks were a success.

It seemed like 1 early account holder came back but not entirely to be sure if we brought many people back, or just created awareness/reminded people. But overall traffic has continued to grow. But hard to track the relationship for sure. Instinct says: yes it helped bring people back.
