1 |
Implement the Daily Plan from Matt's report and try for two weeks. |
2 |
See if I accomplish more, feel less stress, and more organized. |
3 |
End date 8/28. Either I will love it and continue or revert to old method. |
4 |
Learning a new method takes time and sometimes feels slower so I will reserve judgement and give it the full two weeks. |

Lizzy Did my first daily plan. Assigned time to each task, emptied my inbox. So far it feels great. The first time I have been on top of my list in months.

Matthew Cornell Great experiment! The proof is in the pudding - wouldn't have it any other way. One way to enjoy the ride is to do it with someone. Did you say Myles was experimenting with this too? If so, where's his Edison entry? :-)

Lizzy Touchdown! I worked through my list and finished everything with time to spare. Some things took less time than expected, a nice surprise. So I grabbed a few additional tasks from the "grab bag". Day 1: Success!

Brock Tice Matt's method is pretty solid (IMO). Looking forward to seeing how this goes for you.

Matthew Cornell A touchdown? Impressive. I still struggle to make my list realistic. Keep up the observations!

Lizzy It's been ages since my last update. But I wanted to note I have been using "The Daily Plan" since August and its working great. In particular, I create my Daily Plan at the end of each day when the work is fresh in my head. This makes getting started in the morning much faster and easier. Also, estimating time for each activity is a huge reality check. I am much more realistic about my time and what can be accomplished on any given day. I am regularly getting "touch-downs", or finishing my list for the day which feels great.

Brock Tice Would you call this 'complete' at this point?

Lizzy Yes, definitely complete! And a success.
