Two weeks of full-time no-parenting work!

1

What will you do?

This week and next my daughter is in camp all day. That means I have two 40-hour weeks like real people. It's a chance to test the impact on my productivity and mood, if any.

2

How will you test your idea and measure success?

Questions:
o What impact on my mood, if any?
o How productive will I be?
o Will it change my outlook on my normal routine (24 hr/wk)?

3

How will you know you are done?

Two weeks from Mon, Aug 3, i.e., the end of Fri the 14th

4

How will you enjoy the journey?

Enjoy the reduced stress of no childcare. take satisfaction of being (hopefully!) more productive.

Comments & Observations

Matthew Cornell Week one: Very productive. I noticed I was hesitant to do things like a long MTB ride because it takes away from production. Ironically, I had fewer concerns that way when working part time. Hmm!

Brock Tice Sort of a 'broken-window effect' eh? I have noticed I value my 'working' moments less when they are interspersed with child care.
