Treat Clients Like My Best Friends

1

What will you do?

When a client emails or calls I will try to think of them as someone I really adore (rather than someone who needs something or wants changes). How would I talk to that person? How would I make them feel important? How would I handle requests that are hard to do?

Try to listen, educate, and remember we are on the same team.

2

How will you test your idea and measure success?

When I feel like I have helped my clients without compromising what I need to do.

3

How will you know you are done?

When I don't dread getting email or calls.

4

How will you enjoy the journey?

Remember that my job is to help clients, either through education or solving their problems. I can't fix everything but I can offer ideas and insights. Remember that its not personal.

Lizzy Phone call in 10 minutes. Feel dread. My goal in this meeting is to learn what I can about the project, find out about budget and timeline. And make the client feel heard. So this means listen, reiterate, and reenforce conversation.

Lizzy Had a good call with client. Talked to him like he was an old friend. Envisioning the call this way really helped me vibrate the right energy.
